FIRING SEQUENCE
In regards to rapid firing sequences:
Safety is used as the basis of all decisions. In the event of the Discipline Chairman not being in attendance, a sub-committee of no less than three people, which must include a Qualified Range Officer, have the power to vary the length of the timed sequence in relation to any particular firearm which do not easily accommodate rapid loading & firing. e.g. Alex Henry falling block with external hand cocked hammer & various patented underlever rifles.

Charging Animal
· Any firearm meeting the requirements of Group 1 minimum.
Course of fire:
National Events: 6 Shots
- For each competitor, targets will be placed at 75yds, 50yds and 25yds.
- On command the competitor will fire 6 shots, in order, 2 shots at the 75yd target, 2 shots at the 50yd target and 2 shots at the 25yd target.
- Total time allowed is 35 seconds
In the event that the host range cannot accommodate targets set at the required three distances (25,50 & 75yds) then the Charging Animal may be replaced by the Special Snap event.
Special Snap
· Any firearm meeting the requirements of Group 1 minimum.

Bore Guns & Rifles
· Any bore gun or rifle with full rifling or patent rifling, as in Paradox (rifled choke), or semi-invisible rifling for ball and shot. Smoothbore ball-guns permitted provided they are specifically designed for ball and have sights fitted by the original maker.
· Minimum 16 bore.
· Must have maker's fitted sights.
· May use black powder or nitro loads. Must be factory maximum or equivalent reloads.
· Shotguns using solid slugs, such as Brenneke slugs or similar modern developments are not permitted.
· Firearms of modern manufacture in keeping with the spirit of the event may be used provided approval of the firearm and load is gained from the National Discipline Chairman before the event.

OTHER COMPETITION EVENTS
JUNIOR EVENT For Sporting Rifles in .22 calibre.
Scopes allowed with no penalties. Standard targets to be used.
Course of Fire:
50 yards: 3 shots offhand.
3 shots any position.
25 yards: 4 shots off hand.
( Standard targets to be used. Under 14, all shot at 25 yards.)
CLASSIC LIGHT NITRO Group 1 course of fire
a. Minimum calibre .228 centrefire.
b. The cartridge must have been introduced up to and including 1939.
c. The rifle to have been manufactured up to and including 1939.
d. The rifle to have originally been made as a sporting rifle.
e. No telescopic sights permitted.
ROOK & RABBIT RIFLE small rabbit target, junior event course of fire
a. Cartridge introduced before 1905.
b. Muzzle energy not to exceed 400 foot pounds.
c. Factory equivalent load.
d. Plain base lead bullets only.
e. Rifle to have been made prior to 1940.
f. No bolt actions.
g. No telescopic sights.
LIGHT NITRO/ HUNTING CLASS five shots sitting and five shots standing at 100 yds
a. Minimum calibre .224 centrefire.
b. The rifle to have a sporting configuration.
c. Telescopic sights permitted with no penalty.
POT RIFLE
For Sporting Rifles in .22 Rimfire or .22 Magnum calibre.
Scopes allowed with no penalties.
Standard targets to be used.
STOPPER, GROUP 2 and 3 NITRO
Total 6 shots:
25 yards - 6 shots in 25 seconds.
STOPPER, BLACKPOWDER
Total 6 shots:
25 yards - 6 shots in 36 seconds.
INDIA SHOOT
Total 10 shots. more rounds should be carried in case of a shoot off, (4 Rnds. min.).
100 yards - 2 sighting shots any position.
Competitors then inspect and patch their
individual target.
100 yards - 8 scoring shots, 4 shots of- hand & 4 shots any position.
Shoot off to decide tied scores.
NOTE: " National Rifle Association of India's Special Double Rifle target", to be used were possible.
6" square bulls- eye scoring 4. The inner centre 1' square
scoring 3.
The outer centre 2' square scoring 2, the rest of the target measuring 6' x4' scoring 1.
"HAYLEY'S HOP"
· As shot by the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters & Guides Association
· Targets are set out in a widely staggered formation at 50, 30 and 15 yards range.
· 2 shots are then fired into each target.
· No more than 2 shots in the rifle/magazine at any time.
· The score is divided by the time taken to shoot the
competition.
· Rifles are magazine rifles of Group One Nitro minimum.
· 5 point bonus for Group 3 Rifles
3 point bonus for group 2 Rifles
"OLD BULL"
· Entrants must be over 45.
· Entrant must use a rifle older than they are.
· There will be no time limits.
· Ranges not to exceed 50 yards.
· Any centre fire calibre over .240
· Any sights may be used

5 any position
. There will be no penalties for scopes etc but bonus points may be awarded as follows:
Open sights + 5 points
Blackpowder + 5 points
